We believe that mortgages shouldn’t be scary!

We aim to ensure that you’re hand held through the process and feel comfortable enough to answer any number of questions you may have. We want to give you the knowledge you need to make an informed decision about your mortgage and the mortgage process. We won’t just stop at mortgages and aim to hand hold you through the whole buying/remortgaging process.
We also understand your purchase, remortgage or Buy to Let investment isn’t just “another” mortgage… We understand that it is either your exciting first home, a potential chance to change your lifestyle or your first foray into property investment and long term future retirement plans.
We’re here when you need us and are more than just 9-5. We want to be your long term, go to guys for mortgages and want to be with you from your first mortgage until you’re mortgage free.
We’re upfront and impartial about what we can offer and the way that we earn fees, we will provide you with a list of the commissions that we receive from each lender along with the list of lenders that we work with. This will also be declared on mortgage key fact illustrations.
After you’re happy with your mortgage we’ll take the time to explain how you can protect your home and family should you pass away, become ill or are unable to work and offer solutions from a panel of insurers. We want to offer you the option of quality 5 star defacto rated home and contents insurance from a range of insurers to obtain you the right deal.
Ultimately we just really like helping people, it's why we do what we do… We like nothing more than receiving thankyou’s from the clients that we’ve helped, it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy and it’s good to know that we’ve made a difference.

Barry Clark
Founder
Mortgage & Protection Broker
Barry has worked in property since leaving university in 2002 and in financial services for the last 14 years.
Barry has a relaxed demeanour and feedback from clients say that he makes the mortgage and buying process easy and understandable.
Outside of work, it’s all about Family, with three children he doesn’t get much spare time but when he does he likes to play with anything with an engine and has an interest in classic cars and motor racing.
Past fundraising has included cycling, a parachute jump, a European road trip and running away from charging bulls in the Pamplona Bull Run.
Sarah Horne
Mortgage Office Manager
Sarah is always smiling and upbeat which is surprising as she has to work with Barry!
With her years of experience managing many brokers, she easily manages to keep the team organised. She is brilliant in assisting clients with getting their mortgages offered, negotiating underwriters, surveyors, solicitors right through to exchange and completion of their property promptly and efficiently.
Outside of work, Sarah’s priority is her family. She is a proud mother to a couple of energetic kids who keep her very busy being Taxi to tons of different clubs! She’s a family Hide & Seek champion, the children usually find her hiding from them with a large glass of wine!
Mike Nankivell
Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Mike has been a great addition to the team, he’s gaining tons of valuable experience and sorting all types of mortgages and protection. He’s always upbeat and takes the time to really explain all the questions a client may have.
Outside of work Mike is keen on two main things – Football (Long term Spurs sufferer) and all things fast and BMW. Being a true petrolhead, he regularly attends shows, track days and car meets.
Mike is passionate about charity and supports the Rooprai Spinal Trust.
Mike has tried to kill Barry! Almost 10 years ago he drove him off a cliff (Thelma & Louise style) in the Italian Alps near the Swiss border, it’s all OK though as he landed it in a tree – very skilled driving! No-one was hurt thankfully and someone in the Alps has a highly unusual Lexus tree house!
Richard Catling
Senior Mortgage & Protection Broker
Richard has been in mortgages for 20 plus years and has a wealth of experience previously working for Barclays for just over a decade.
Clients find him relaxed approachable and able to negotiate them through the most complex of cases with ease. Richard is the Yoda of the office and what he doesn't know probably isn't worth knowing!
Outside of work Richard is, well, a bit football mad, he manages and runs local girls football teams and when he's not doing that he's watching either Southend or Arsenal.
Richard also heads up the Southend Chapter of the Business over Breakfast Club, a bimonthly business get together which brings local business owners together.
Leonie Grieg
Mortgage Administrator & Trainee Broker
Leonie has been in financial services for over 6 years and started on an apprenticeship scheme. She’s a key member of the team and without her the admin side would fall apart!
Clients love her as she hand holds them through their journey to mortgage offer.
She also assists the team on gliding through paperwork, mortgage submissions, compliance and is the most organised member of the MM team. Sometimes she needs help getting the rest of the team (mainly Barry) organised which isn’t too hard as she’s the most feared team member - the brokers are a bit scared of her!
Outside of work she’s a busy Mum, loves a bit of trashy TV, the odd beauty treatment and likes socialising with friends! We’ve also learnt the hard way that she can outdrink the rest of the team!
Grant Daines
Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Grant is a latest addition to the MM family and has settled in brilliantly. He has more than 20 years in the technology sector working with in both B2B and B2C roles coming from the technology sector where he worked for over 20 years as he built up a business which he sold.
Grant wanted a new challenge so chose to move into financial services. He brings with him a wealth of customer journey experience, he’s meticulous, approachable and willing to go the extra mile to put the needs of the clients first.
In his spare time Grant is a keen DIYer, rugby fan, car and motorsport enthusiast and busy Dad.
Adam Crawford
Marketing Guru
Adam is a one-man digital marketing guru and branding machine. He does everything from running our social media accounts to email marketing, blogging, design and is also working on the brand vision.
You may have seen our social media go up a notch or two in 2021, that’s Adam’s contribution and he’s just getting started!
Outside of work Adam’s keen interests are football, going to the gym, dog walking and photoshopping. He also has a love of all things Chelsea!
